Florida VOICE Project

May/June 2024 in beautiful and historic Tarpon Springs, FL

Applications are now closed for 2023. Check back in late fall for information about our 2024 application.

A Personal Focus

The Florida VOICE Project is a small intensive that offers singers quality time to focus on what matters most to them.

Our faculty and staff care about the WHOLE singer. We take singers at any level of their journey and move them on to the next place in their development through honest evaluation and strategic planning.

Available for all ages based on acceptance in the program through an online audition process. Acceptance is based on readiness for the program structure, potential and ability.

This program takes place in person.

COVID-19 safety measures will be in place as needed for the duration of the program.

  • Sessions begin at 10am daily, with evening events most days
  • Singers can expect one voice lesson or one private coaching each day
  • Singers can expect at least one group coaching and/or workshop* each day
  • Private coaching opportunities with Sherrill Milnes
  • Master class, community outreach and concert performance opportunities

*Workshops cover topics relevant to the lives of singers and go well beyond musical topics. Past workshops have included marketing and branding, career development, resume and headshot review, vocal health, and opportunities to work with a life coach.

In order to provide the best program for our singers, we begin planning as soon as singers are accepted to the program. This program is an intensive, therefore we do not recommend scheduling other activities during your time with us. We don’t want you to miss out on all that this program has to offer!

Our Pledge to Artists

The Milnes VOICE Programs recognize and respect the individuality of all artists. The staff and faculty of VOICE pledge to recognize and call out personal and systemic biases. In our mission to grow the artistic community, judgments will be based solely on a person’s musical potential, ability, and desire to learn and grow in the art. VOICE will do this through the creation of welcoming and inclusive environments and anti-discriminatory practices throughout our programs.
